When an upload needs attention

Check the file first

If a file is skipped, check its format and size on the upload screen. Export a smaller photo or trim a clip that is too long. A clip that the browser cannot read is also skipped.

• Photos: JPEG, PNG, WebP, or HEIC, up to 4 MB.
• Clips, when available: MP4, WebM, or MOV, up to 5 minutes and 1 GB.
• Video uploads have a daily allowance. The upload screen shows how many are left and when it resets.

If the transfer stops

1. 1Open the upload progress panel and read the message beside the file.
2. 2Use Retry if it is offered. An interrupted clip transfer may continue after you reconnect.
3. 3If you see Choose original file to restart, select the same file you first chose. Check the show first if the earlier upload may have finished, so you do not add it twice.
4. 4A video can finish uploading and still say it is processing privately. Give it time, then use Check video progress in Your photos & clips.
